Two Children Die After Eating Donuts in Batchingou, West Region of Cameroon
A tragic event occurred when two children, Océane and Ismaël, vacationing at their grandmother's house, lost their lives after consuming banana donuts.
According to reports from Canal 2 International, the children experienced severe stomach pains and unfortunately died while on the way to the hospital. The mother of one of the deceased children revealed that the children were on holiday in the village to spend a few weeks with their grandmother. The donuts they consumed were made with contaminated flour.
In addition to the two deceased children, the same media outlet reported that the mother of one of the deceased children and two others who ate the same donuts are currently in the intensive care unit at the Protestant Hospital of Bangwa.
This is an unbearable situation for the families of the deceased children during this holiday period. In the meantime, the bodies of the children have been deposited at the Bangante Mortuary, and investigations are underway to shed more light on this tragic affair.
