Today on 22 January 2026 it was a day of commemoration of the war of Sandlwana, where King Cetshwayo's warriors made history by becoming the first regiment in the globe and Africa to defeat the Britain's. 

This commemoration is significant to the Zulu nation as they pride themselves of their unity and strength, KZN Premier was one the officials who attended the ceremony. 

The Premier said the Zulu nation should be worried about GBV and they should take actions to stop it. He added with that the graves of the Zulu warriors should have tombstones with their names and surnames so that the next generation will not forget such history.
