March and March Movement leader face a criminal charge

March and March Movement posted a letter yesterday on 26 January 2026, stating that Jacinta Ngobese Zuma is accused of inciting Public violence against foreign nationals. The March and March leader said she will hand herself to the police on the 27 January 2026 at 07:30.

Jacinta said now the March and March Movement, MKP and Operation Dudula, are being charged for public violence. She continue to added that they will continue to picket until their demands are met. Regardless of the charges and police.

Jacinta told her supporters that " if I were to be arrested, continue with the struggle" she said this after being in the Point Police Station Durban for several hours. Furthermore she said some of the police officers are controlled by illegal foreigners in a form of bribes.

It is said that the person who opened a criminal charge against the March and March Movement leader, is a police officer. 

SAPS KZN Spokesperson Colonel Netshuanda said " we can confirm that this is a case of public violence that has been opened by the state" he added that the three parties that have been charged, they will have a close discussion. Then they will come on the later date to take statements.
